Patrick and Kimberleigh have quite the love story. Part of their journey begins with the meeting on a Disney cruise ship when they were 16 years old. After the cruise, living in different states made the whole boyfriend/girlfriend relationship challenging but the two stayed in touch for the next year as their feelings grew stronger. Eventually, the long distance between them became too difficult and they went their separate ways. Eight years later, the pair reconnected though a social networking site where their memories spanned the miles between them and they fell back in love.
The day was finally here for the wedding and the weather in Cocoa Beach was not cooperating. In fact, the rain was coming down so hard the gusts of wind blew the rain sideways. I have to say, I can’t believe Kimberleigh was so calm. She was all smiles as she prepared to marry the man of her dreams and she wasn’t letting anything stand in the way of her perfect beach wedding. (Me on the other hand, I must admit, I was a bit nervous and I was silently praying for the rain to stop as I took photos of everyone getting ready.) About 10 minutes prior to when the wedding ceremony was to start, like a true miracle, the rain stopped and the clouds parted as we headed to the beach.
The ceremony took place at Lori Wilson Park in Cocoa Beach with their closest friends and family watching. When the ceremony concluded, the newlyweds threw well-wish shells into the ocean with their guests. The night sky was magnificent after the rain and provided beautiful deep purples and reds as the steel drum players music filled the air during the reception.
A special thank you goes out to Patrick and Kimberleigh for being extra spectacular people and a joy to work with. May your love be forever as sweet as it was on this day…I could totally feel it!
